Spring is rapidly approaching here in Tokyo, and what better way to welcome in the changing seasons with a new passion project?
Welcome to Journeys of J, with yours truly. This will be the start of a regular series of blog posts, focusing mainly on my life in Japan and varying hobbies, such as stationery, food, gaming. For now, the primary language of this blog will be in English.
As I continue to pursue my Japanese language studies, there may be times where I will add additional commentary or translations in Japanese and vice versa, particularly in regards to local recommendations, events, or happenings here in Tokyo and beyond. Case in point, today’s lunch. Mmm. Chicken paitan ramen from a local shop near Nakano Station.

I’m also pleased to take this as an opportunity to really learn some basic web design skills using the WordPress platform as my base. The site may be a bit barebones for now, and will most certainly evolve and undergo changes as I familiarize myself with things, but thank you very much in advance for accompanying me on this journey!
All my content is produced through my own efforts, research, and whenever possible, media resources such as photos and videos (otherwise credited to original sources). While it’s inevitable that my content may be scraped without my permission or consent, I deeply disapprove of AI content scraping and do not offer consent for doing so with my own content.
For now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the steady stream of content with a mug of hot tea, coffee, cocoa, or your choice of relaxing beverage. Heck, read along with a jaeger bomb if you’d like, I don’t mind. Plus, here’s a sunset view from my apartment, featuring a dazzling twilight Fuji-san to toast to.

Welcome to my journey!
